The Intro

EDIKIT helped Cincinnati’s most iconic chili brand spice up its legacy with a bold refresh; modernizing its visuals, digital experience, and customer touchpoints while keeping every ounce of its flavor-packed soul.®

Boldly Staying Classic

Skyline Chili isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a rite of passage in Cincinnati culture. With roots dating back to 1949, Skyline has become a beloved staple known for its signature 3-Ways, Coneys, and unmistakable flavor. When the brand looked to modernize without losing its legacy, EDIKIT stepped in to strike that delicate balance between nostalgia and now.

The Problem

Skyline Chili had iconic menu items and massive local loyalty, but its branding hadn’t kept pace with modern expectations. Its digital presence felt outdated, in-store materials were inconsistent, and it lacked the kind of cohesive identity that could drive new market expansion or excite the next generation of fans.

Our Solution

EDIKIT partnered with Skyline to enhance (not erase) its legacy. We brought a fresh energy to the brand while preserving its hometown heart.


Our visual system celebrated the quirky charm of Skyline’s heritage, mixing warm textures, bold type, and playful graphics that made the brand feel fresh without feeling unfamiliar. We used a modular design language to ensure scalability across locations and platforms - from takeout bags to TikTok.


Our work included:

  • A refreshed logo and typography system rooted in Americana-meets-retro-diner vibes


  • Custom illustrations and modern iconography for menu and packaging


  • A responsive website redesign with location finder, story-driven content, and order-forward UX


  • Branded social templates and motion graphics to tell the Skyline story with flavor


  • In-store signage, apparel, and merch updates to unify the customer experience

The Conclusion

Skyline Chili emerged with a re-energized identity that honored its roots while appealing to today’s diners. With a consistent brand system and a renewed digital voice, Skyline is now positioned to keep serving smiles for the next 75 years and beyond.
